Over the hills and far away, this designer did come and play with some famous 90’s childhood characters in his fashion collection. Enter the Christian Cowan x Teletubbies collaboration, featuring everyday apparel like hoodies and jackets to take your childhood nostalgia to the next level.
Other than the iconic lime green colour and the fuzzy texture, what “tops” off the boots in the collection is the head of the green Teletubby Dipsy. It even comes with outstretched hands to always remind you that they will be with you no matter where you go. Creepy or cute, you decide.
They do come with a setback though — the pair retails at a whopping USD$2,500 (~S$3,367).
To get the full experience of incorporating your childhood favourites into your usual OOTD, the clothing collection also includes denim pieces, a T-shirt and a hoodie.
If you are a fan of streetwear, the brand added Po, the red Teletubby, in a vintage washed design on the back of the denim jacket. It retails for USD$$595 (~S$799).
You could also do a denim-on-denim look with their Dipsy split design jeans which adds a unique vibe to your usual pair. The wide-leg jeans retails for USD$$495 (~S$664).
Those with a smaller budget can opt for the basic tee featuring Tinky Winky, retailing at USD$195 (~S$261).
Stay warm and cosy in the Laa-Laa hoodie, retailing at USD$350 (~S$470). It showcases graphic designs on the side to upgrade your usual look into a chic ensemble.
This colourful yet eccentric fashion take on the Teletubbies would make any 90’s kid remember the good old times. The whole collection is available online on the Christian Cowan website.
