The year’s gone by in a flash and now we’re in the month of September. Cue the Green Day jokes about waking up when September ends.

1. Halloween Horror Nights 8


Featuring five haunted houses (one themed around season 1 of Stranger Things, and the others centred around Asian horror), two scare zones, three live shows, and a bigger live-action zombie laser tag zone, USS is set to up the scare ante for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights.

2. Sunset Disco


Grab after-work cocktails with your girlfriends and watch the sunset from 71 floors up, while vibing to nu disco, funk, soul, house, and disco beats.

3. Aquaholic Pool Party SG


Grab your girls, laze by the pool, and sip bubbly till the sun goes down. Expect live performances by drag queens JAJA, Baliana Grande, and Monica Malibu, and music by Resident DJs Akito and Shigeki to keep the party going till the wee hours.

4. Ice Cream Sundays: 2 Year Anniversary


Get down and groovy with DJs spinning house, disco, funk, and soul tunes at the outdoor event. Come evening, a mobile bar will be set up to serve beers, spirits, and wine, with food served by Sidecar Sausages and Popbar SG.

5. Music Matters Live 2018

6. The Great Escape presents Kampong Boogie

7. Liquid State X Zouk Presents Alan Walker, Seungri & Corsak


Seungri, Alan Walker and Liquid State’s new signee CORSAK will be performing at Zouk after their sold-out show in Seoul. Zouk resident Ghetto will also be keeping energy levels high, so put on your dancing shoes for this one-night-only performance.

8. Places + Faces Singapore


What started as a Tumblr project featuring backstage polaroids snaps, Places+Faces has morphed into a fashion and music brand. Now back in Asia, Places+Faces is back with is party series.

9. F**k tinder-a comedy dating show exclusively for singles

The Malaysian Film Festival returns with selections ranging from the horror movie, Haunted Hotel, set in the Genting Highlands to the touching autobiography You Mean The World To Me which explores the themes of love and family.

13. The Helper


Part of the CANA film festival, The Helper is a documentary which recounts stories of heartbreak and hardship. The film follows the journey of a volunteer choir comprised solely of domestic helpers, who are preparing for their debut performance at Clockenflap 2015.

21. Singapore by Nguan


View Singapore through the lens of local photographer Nguan. In his 10-year series, Singapore, he examines longing, discombobulation, and regret by presenting our island as an “iconic dream landscape”, resplendent with hazy, pastel hues.
