Gigi Hadid Maybelline Makeup Collection
Will the real Gigi Hadid fans please stand up? We just got our hands on the spanking new Gigi x Maybelline East Coast Glam collection, designed and endorsed by the 22-year-old American supermodel.
Released on 22 October 2017, there are three distinct looks in the collection: East Coast Glam, West Coast Glow and the super chic 11-pan Jetsetter Palette (S$30).
Gigi also released a set of neutral lipsticks, liquid and gel eyeliners, mascara and an eyeshadow brush—all in a holographic x matte dusty pink packaging.
During the manufacturing and design process, Gigi “was empowered to create something that (she) couldn’t find before, while also making sure it was a full set at an affordable price point.”
With nothing priced over S$30, we’re happy we can steal Gigi’s look without breaking the bank!
Liquid Strobe in Gold (S$18.90)
The product also catches light in all directions creating the illusion of translucent skin and has a subtle glow effect.
BB Cushion in Fair (S$28.90)
We loved the coverage offered by the BB Cushion, as it effectively blurred out all dark eye circles. However, we would have loved for a more compact packaging but hey, I guess Gigi wanted to go big or go home.
Fashion Brow Ultra Fluffy in Dark Brown (S$13.90)
We weren’t huge fans of the eyebrow pencil as the product pigmentation wasn’t as intense as we hoped for. To draw on darkened brows, we had to use some pressure to get our look on fleek.
Liquid Liner in Black (S$22.90)
The liquid liner has a fine tip which was a breeze to use and it glided on our waterline like a dream.
Intensity? Check. Colour? Check. Compactivity? Check.
Dual Ended Fiber Mascara (S$23.90)
The mascara won our hearts after the second coat, just look at that volume and curl! For girls who want to give their eyelashes a break from falsies, this mascara is a great alternative.
Matte Lipstick GG11, GG09 and GG10 (S$16.90)
We found all three limited edition matte shades (light nude, a natural nude and a deep mauve with purple undertones) to be relatively moisturising in spite of its matte formula. Colours were hella fly as well.
