The New Hello Kitty x Adidas Superstar Sneakers Come In Mismatched Laces & A Kawaii Box

Heads up sneakerheads, Adidas is back to impress with another unique shoe collaboration after drops with Swarovski as well as Disney’s Bambi. This time, they have partnered with Hello Kitty for a kawaii version of their signature Superstar sneakers for fans of the kitty cat to further expand their collection.   

The sneakers

The Hello Kitty experience begins even before you open the shoebox as you’ll be greeted by a motif of the character dressed in a red Adidas tracksuit on the outside. Once opened, there is also a tiny Hello Kitty keychain waiting inside that allows you to further express your feline love.  

Similar to original Superstar sneakers, these sneakers come decked in white and its iconic three stripes on the sides, but with a twist on the design. Note how there are mismatched shoelaces in pink and red ‒ adorned with decorative beads ‒ that pay tribute to Hello Kitty’s signature ribbon colours. 

The sneakers also have other Hello Kitty elements that feature the cat’s head sticking out on the lateral sides, and the “Hello Kitty” embroidery on the shoe tongues. What’s more, the Adidas logo is also embroidered in pink on the black heel tabs that come with white polka dots. 

The white polka dots make another appearance on the black insoles that also feature the Adidas logo in red. 

 

Not many people pay attention to the outsoles but make sure you do for this pair of sneakers ‒ they are designed with pink and red polka dots for extra cuteness.
