He then debuted as the main dancer in BTS in 2013, which consisted of 6 other members—Jin, Suga, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. As one of the biggest K-pop groups in the world, they were the group responsible for bringing the “Korean Wave”  to the US and were the first Korean group to top the Billboard 200.

Their single “Dynamite” earned them a Grammy nomination, which was a first for a South Korean group. Though the group is on hiatus due to mandatory military service, they will be back soon and may even have a reunion in 2025, which is something to look forward to.

J-Hope was the first member of BTS to debut as a solo artist. In 2019, he released a song in collaboration with Becky G titled “Chicken Noodle Soup”, which we bet was your Roman empire back then. The extremely catchy song ended up at No.  81 on the Billboard Hot 100, which made J-Hope the first BTS member and the third Korean artist besides Psy and CL to chart a song on such a huge scale.
