Sanrio and Anti Social Social Club first collaborated last year on a Hello Kitty collection. To no one’s surprise, the entire range sold out in less than 24 hours. The 2 brands are coming together again on a new collection. This time, it will feature Hello Kitty and friends. And we’re willing to bet that it will sell out in record time too.

The new Sanrio and Anti Social Social Club collection is launching on Saturday, 22 August 2020, at 8am (Pacific Standard Time) on Anti Social Social Club’s website. So Sanrio and ASSC fans, make sure you set your alarms for 11pm (Singapore Time) on 22 August.

What we know so far

In typical fashion, Anti Social Social Club has chosen to keep us in suspense right up to the last minute. The brand first revealed the image above on its Instagram feed on 19 August 2020. From the grid, it seems we can expect to see Hello Kitty, Kerokerokeroppi, Badtz-Maru, My Melody and Chococat as part of the product line-up.

Hello Kitty and My Melody are a no-brainer, since they’re arguably 2 of the biggest stars in the Sanrio universe (don’t @ us, we know Cinnamoroll was voted the most popular Sanrio character in Japan this year). They’ve featured in countless collaborations with other brands, from Balenciaga x Hello Kitty bags to Sanrio mooncakes.

The 3 other Sanrio characters, however, are more unexpected. It’s not often that fans of Kerokerokeroppi, Badtz-Maru and Chococat get to see their favourite characters in such a major collab, so this is definitely a drop to look out for.

Now, onto a sneak peek of the collection.

What to look out for

Presenting…. the only product that’s been revealed so far. It’s a bucket hat decked out in the colourful grid design that the brand posted. This means we can probably expect to see a whole line of merch featuring the same print. Streetwear staples like hoodies and t-shirts, for sure. As for the rest of the accessories, we’ll have to wait and see what ASSC has up its sleeve.
