Star Wars-Themed Wedding
Every couple has different priorities when it comes to planning a wedding. While some choose to go all-in with a unique wedding venue, others prefer to personalise the wedding by infusing their interests into the decor, cake, and walk-in ceremony, just like this one planned by Singaporean couple Durrah and Endra.
They recently put together a Star Wars-themed wedding with custom lightsabers and flower bouquets, and even had young “Padawans” as flower boys and girls to bless the occasion.
The wedding
Speaking to Durrah, she revealed that they incorporated Star Wars references to various parts of their wedding.
As seen in her viral TikTok video, her walk-in ceremony was led by three young children who took on the roles of flower boys and girls, except that each of them was holding a lightsaber. The bridesmaids and groomsmen later followed suit, also walking down the aisle with lightsabers before stopping at their designated positions.

Holding the lightsabers at a high angle, the bridesmaids and groomsmen formed an arch for Durrah and Endra to walk through, as if signalling that they brought the “force” to their marriage.

In case you’re wondering where they got the lightsabers, Durrah mentioned that Endra, the owner of a Star Wars-themed online business, sponsored the lightsabers. His shop also offers customization services, which means Star Wars enthusiasts can personalise their lightsabers and engage in ‘duels’ with like-minded fans.

While a wedding is usually all about the couple, Durrah and Endra also made sure that their guests were having a good time by engaging a photo booth vendor. They told the vendor about their Star Wars-themed wedding, and they prepared photo strips that featured motifs of red and blue lightsabers.

Furthermore, Durrah and Endra played with elements of the light and the dark sides by customising their wedding cake with white and black cream. Case in point, the three-tier cake was adorned with edible figurines of iconic Star Wars spaceships, R2-D2, and the mask of Darth Vader.

Apart from the aforementioned details, Durrah’s flower bouquet for the pre-wedding shoot was also tweaked to fit the Star Wars theme. Unlike standard flower bouquets which are normally wrapped in ribbons, Durrah’s flowers fit right into a lightsaber.

Moreover, Endra and his groomsmen added a touch of fun to their attire with Star Wars-themed boutonnieres. These boutonnieres featured a Lego Darth Vader with his iconic red lightsaber and Lego stormtroopers.
