Uniqlo x Hello Kitty
Uniqlo Singapore will be releasing a series of Hello Kitty t-shirts for women and kids, called Hello Kitty T-Market.
This quirky collection is a collaboration with Japanese art director Yuni Yoshida, who is known for her surrealist take on graphic design. The collection also has T-shirts featuring other Sanrio characters such as My Melody and Little Twin Stars.
Hello Kitty T-shirts
Contrary to what you might have expected, the Hello Kitty illustration on the shirt is not of the actual cartoon character. The image includes a vase of white flowers, arranged to look like Hello Kitty herself.
This particular design comes in 2 different colourways. There is a red and white version for those who enjoy all things bright. If you’re after a grunge look, you can opt for the black and white design.
This collection also features a collage-like design consisting of food and beverage items to make up a larger text that reads ‘HELLO KITTY GIVES YOU SMILES’. The T-shirt is available in white and red.

Other Sanrio characters
Hello Kitty’s best friend is not left out of the collection.
At first glance, this looks like a normal illustration of My Melody. It’s only upon closer inspection that you realise there is a pair of red stilettos positioned on top of My Melody’s ears. You can nab either the white or the pink t-shirt, depending on which better suits your aesthetic.
Other designs include the Little Twin Stars as part of a double scoop of ice cream on a pastel blue tee. There is also a black shirt with the super kawaii Patty and Jimmy sharing a long sandwich.
Cop Uniqlo’s Hello Kitty x Yuni Yoshida Collection
Yuni Yoshida’s unique take on Hello Kitty can be seen through the main campaign visual, featuring the feline’s favourite items surrounding a Kitty-shaped plastic bag. Stay tuned to this page for details of when it will be released!
