From Jason Polan to Billie Ellish and Takashi Murakami, UNIQLO has launched multiple UT collections made in partnership with major designers and artists. The Japanese retailer has now expanded its reach into the classical art scene by partnering with one of the oldest museums in the world. UNIQLO has collaborated with the Louvre Museum in Paris to launch a UT Collection featuring some of its most popular works. You’ll find pieces from artists like Leornado da Vinci and Raphael reworked in this series.
This UT collection sees graphic T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies sporting artwork that can be found at the museum, adapted by British art director Peter Saville. If you enjoy Classical Art Memes on Instagram, you’ll most likely enjoy these reworked classic pieces too.
The Musée du Louvre: Blossoms of Diversity collection celebrates the women that sit at the centre of most artwork in the Louvre. The idea behind the collection is that enjoying art used to only be accessible to a few. Now, classic art can be a part of our everyday lives.
Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa is plastered on a white T-shirt, holding a bouquet of flowers that is illustrated to look like part of an oil painting.
The collection also features Leonardo da Vinci’s La Belle Ferronnière painting. It decorates a plain black tee. Only the eyes of the lady can be seen and, just like the other designs, she is accompanied by flowers.
Raphael’s Madonna and Child with Saint John the Baptist sits on the back of a white shirt. The artwork is recoloured with flowers surrounding the children and the name of the piece frames the painting. The simple colours and fonts make the shirt suitable for a casual streetwear look.
This collection does not only include paintings in its designs. Sculptures like Venus de Milo also make an appearance on the sweatshirts. A lineart of the ancient Greek sculpture sits on a grey sweater. A pink tag also runs across the chest of the statue and adds a touch of modernity.

UNIQLO and the Louvre Museum also invited designer Peter Saville to present his own visions in the Musèe du Louvre: Art and Logic collection.
The Louvre recognises the Mona Lisa, the most famous painting in the world, simply as Painting No. 779. Inspired by this fact, Saville created hoodies and graphic T-shirts that mix modern and classic art. As part of the design, most of the items in this series have the code number of the artwork printed on them. The numbers also make up a big part of the display, like the 779 on the Mona Lisa hoodie.
No matter if you enjoy classical art or not, these T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies are sure to make you look more cultured.
All of the items are available on UNIQLO Singapore’s website now, with prices ranging from $19.90 to $39.90.
