Cathay Cineplex AMK Hub Barbie Event
Pink outfits, pink high heels and even pink cars. You guessed it — we’re talking about Barbie. To fuel our excitement over the upcoming Barbie movie buzz, Cathay Cineplex at AMK Hub is hosting a Barbie Best Day Ever event on 22 July 2023.
Fans can book exclusive ticket packages with pink popcorn and fizzy drinks, get a new manicure done and even stand a chance to win prizes at the lucky draw.
The event
No movie experience is complete without munching on popcorn while you get sucked into the plot. Customers can pick between two types of ticket packages: For One or Play Date, which comes with one and two tickets respectively.
Cathay Cineplexes is also giving their snacks a brand new Barbie makeover — each package comes with strawberry-glazed popcorn and sunset fizzy soda. The Play Date set includes two drinks and an exclusive Barbie collectible display box.
Based on their Instagram page, there’s already a teaser of what the collectible display box looks like. The all-pink box resembles an actual Barbie doll box and doubles as a popcorn holder.
The For One set is available for $22, whereas the Play Date set is at $60.
While the new Barbie movie is the highlight of the event, there’s also a range of fun activities for fans to indulge in. From 11am to 1.30pm, there will be an express manicure station where fans can get dolled up before catching the movie. Limited slots are available, and this service is also based on a first come, first serve basis.
There will also be a lucky draw and a spin and win activity with goodies and vouchers up for grabs.
That’s not all — if you’re still deciding on your Barbie movie fit, perhaps this next event will motivate you to get it settled ASAP. According to Cathay Cineplexes, fans who turn up to the event dressed in an outfit that is at least 50% pink can stand a chance to win exclusive merchandise.

AMK Hub’s Upcoming Barbie Event Is Filled With Fun Pink-Themed Activities
Barbie Best Day Ever event at AMK Hub will be held on 22 July 2023, with only one movie screening at 1pm. The For One and Play Date ticket packages are already available for booking on Cathay Cineplexes’ website, so make sure to secure your seats before they sell out.
