Lady M x The Macallan
The first thing that comes to mind when someone mentions Lady M is probably its famous mille crêpes. Besides classic and unique flavours such as green tea and rose, Lady M also drops the occasional seasonal item. In 2019, these included the Royal Milk Tea Mousse and a Champagne Mille Crêpe. If you tried and loved the Champagne Mille Crêpe, you’ll be glad to know that Lady M has collaborated with The Macallan on a Whisky Dark Chocolate Mousse.
Whisky Dark Chocolate Mousse
The Lady M x The Macallan Whisky Dark Chocolate Mousse cake is infused with The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old. The single malt whisky has been aged in a combination of American oak and European oak sherry-seasoned casks. Rich yet complex, the whisky has notes of honey, citrus and ginger, as well as hints of butterscotch and vanilla.
While this might not be your typical Lady M mille crêpe, the Whisky Dark Chocolate Mousse does feature alternating layers of decadent chocolate-y goodness. There’s dark chocolate mousse, milk chocolate whisky mousse, whisky jelly with orange zest, chocolate sponge and a crunchy dark chocolate feuilletine base.
That’s not all. The cake is topped off with a dark chocolate glaze. Because there is no such thing as too much chocolate, though your dentist may say otherwise. It is then further adorned with a dehydrated orange slice that looks like a pretty flower petal.
Lady M x The Macallan Whisky Dark Chocolate Mousse Will Be Here For A Limited Time Only
The Lady M x The Macallan Whisky Dark Chocolate Mousse will be available for dine-in and retail from 7 January to 28 February 2021 at all 5 Lady M cafes in Singapore. Namely, Jewel Changi Airport, Orchard Central, South Beach Avenue, Scotts Square and Westgate.
The cake will be priced at $18 per slice and $180 for a 9-inch whole cake. If you’re ordering the 9-inch cake online on Lady M’s website, you can enjoy an online-only rate of $170 nett. From champagne to whisky, it seems like Lady M does not shy away from alcohol-infused desserts. We’re looking forward to seeing what’s next, like say, a soju creation.
