This NYC Artist Makes Louis Vuitton Vases, Nike Planters & More For All The Plant Parents Out There

Bodega Rose Louis Vuitton Vase

Louis Vuitton has all sorts of lifestyle items for your everyday needs, from reusable straws to yoga mats. For now, however, it has yet to come up with a Louis Vuitton vase. Enter Bodega Rose, a creative studio run by artist and designer Olivia Rose. She brings the worlds of fashion and horticulture together with her handmade vases and planters, which are based on iconic pieces such as the Louis Vuitton Speedy bag and Nike Air Force 1 sneakers. They’ll make the perfect present for all the hypebeast plant parents in your life. And, the good news is, she will be doing a limited restock for Christmas.

Fashion vases and planters

According to Olivia, each vase is hand casted. And, the mould for this Louis Vuitton vase was created from an Louis Vuitton Monogram Mini Speedy Hand Bag. While the actual bag itself sports the French fashion house’s iconic brown Monogram motif, this white version is right up every minimalist’s alley.

Fill it with white flowers if you want a monochromatic look, or go for a rainbow of colours for a floral arrangement that will put a smile on your face while you’re working from home.

If you’re more of a Prada than Louis Vuitton fan, fret not. Bodega Rose has you covered with this Prada bucket hat planter. This will also be making a return as part of the Christmas restock this weekend.

You might have read about the Balenciaga sneaker sculpture, aka the first item from the fashion brand’s lifestyle series. A tribute to Balenciaga’s popular Track.2 sneakers, it’s made of 16 individual cast brass piece and costs $8,790.

Don’t have a spare $9K lying around? We hear you. Bodega Rose’s Triple S Planter pays homage to another popular Balenciaga sneaker, and costs US$175 (~S$234).

Nike planters

Sneakerheads will be pleased to know Bodega Rose also has a selection of Nike planters based on iconic models.

Naturally, that includes the Nike Air Force 1. The concrete sneaker could almost pass off as the real thing. It is retailing for US$150 (~S$200.50).

The line-up includes the Nike Air Max 95, which is also retailing for US$150 (~S$200.50).

In a case of art imitating real life, the Nike x Sacai Waffle Planter is, like the actual sneaker itself, already sold out.
