Singaporean Couple Celebrates Wedding At Ya Kun Far East Square, Takes “Toast To Love” Literally

Ya Kun Wedding

With inflation in full swing, many Singaporean couples who are planning to get married are opting for non-hotel weddings for practical reasons, such as lower costs. However, celebrating your special moment at a “cheaper” location doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t have a memorable wedding.

One Singaporean couple recently got married at the Ya Kun Kaya Toast outlet at Far East Square, and TikTok user @purtyboys captured the beautiful moment on a video.

In the TikTok video, @purtyboys highlighted that it was her bestie’s wedding at Ya Kun Kaya Toast, and gave us a view of the interior. On top of the usual white tables and stools that are normally seen at a Ya Kun Kaya Toast outlet, they decorated the place with flower pieces, and even showcased a centrepiece that featured the couple’s wedding bands.

Standing in front of the cashier counter, the couple held their solemnisation in the presence of their guests, and even showed off their rings once they were done.

Just like how every wedding comes with food, @purtyboys also mentioned that the couple provided their guests with Ya Kun Kaya Toast’s signature set meals that came with warm drinks, half-boiled eggs, and freshly grilled toast.

The staff members were seen working hard at preparing the set meals, and they even had them placed neatly on a tray before carrying them out.

Both the bride and the groom even served the food personally to their guests, holding up the tray and giving a toast to the camera.

Seeing how their guests were enjoying food, the couple was visibly satisfied and also did not miss the chance to pose for photos with their food.
