1. Istana Open House

If you’ve never walked through its grand gates outside Dhoby Ghaut MRT, this month offers another chance for you to visit the Istana. The President celebrates Singapore’s tireless workers as the gates of the Istana fling open on Labour Day. Have a picnic in its verdant gardens with your family and friends.

2. AIA Glow Festival

Catch up on your fitness goals with the AIA Glow Festival. It’s a full day of yoga, running and music by the beach. Besides a range of yoga classes you can join, there will also be musical performances by Singapore’s beloved pop band The Sam Willows and rising Scottish musician Nina Nesbitt to end the day off.

3. Sprout 2019

Singapore’s biggest farm-to-people festival, Sprout, will be held at Suntec City convention centre this May. Join over 70 exhibitors, including food producers and urban farmers, as they come together under one roof for Singaporeans to learn more about our agricultural scene and even purchase some fresh produce.

4. Troye Sivan: The Bloom Tour

Australian pop star Troye Sivan is coming to Singapore. Even if you are not a hardcore fan, his music makes for easy listening and is sure to get you up on your feet. Troye began as a YouTube personality and talked openly about his struggles as a LGBT youth. He has since become a world-renowned pop star, collaborating with the likes of Ariana Grande and Charli XCX.

5. Bar Rouge and Sole Superior presents D R I P

If you are a streetwear fan who also enjoys a fun night out, Bar Rouge’s sneaker-themed party is the place to be. You can even get free entry if the bouncer ‘stans’ your sneakers and streetwear getup, so dress to impress.

6. Japanese Breakfast at Esplanade

No, this isn’t a food event. Japanese Breakfast is Michelle Zauner’s moniker for her electronic-infused rock act. She will be performing for the first time in Singapore, so all the indie kids can get ready to have a wild night dancing along with her at the Esplanade.

7. Phum Viphurit at Esplanade

8. Changi Beach Park Cleanup

10. Bayfront Pop-Up Market

12. An Artist Talk By Ong Kim Seng: Painting With Lim Cheng Hoe

13. Meditation Concert with Tibetan Singing Bowls

Yoga Seeds presents a charity concert where you can enjoy the soothing sounds of Tibetan singing bowls. The humming sound of the bowls are purported to help one reduce anxiety and stress. Mats are provided so you just have to show up. Yoga Seeds will be collecting donations to help Club Rainbow during the concert.

14. Art Jamming
