Theatre Shows & Musicals In Singapore

Movie dates can be fun, but sometimes we all crave something a bit more memorable. If you’re considering a more unique experience, catching a broadway show with your SO might do the trick. Here, we’ve compiled a list of 20 upcoming theatre shows and musicals for you to take your pick.

From comedic musicals to drama-filled plays and even romantic ballets, there’ll surely be a show perfect for you and your partner.

Do musicals start exactly on time?

Yes. Most musicals and theatre shows begin on time. Do arrive about 20 to 30 minutes before show time to ensure that you do not miss any part of the performance.

Moreover, some productions do not allow audience members to enter the concert hall once the show has started — even if you have tickets. You’ll only be allowed to go to your seat during the intermission and may be made to stand at the back of the theatre.

What should an audience member do before attending a play?

There’s nothing much that you need to prepare but make sure that you have your tickets with you — be it an e-ticket or physical one.

Also, use the restroom before the show as you may have to wait an hour before intermission starts.

Can you use your phone in theatres?

You should refrain from using your phone during any performance. If you have an emergency to attend to, exit the venue so as to not disturb any audience member around you.

Not only is using your phone in the middle of a performance rude to those around you, it is also disrespectful to the performers who have worked hard to prepare for the show.
