BTS HDB Flat

One of the main perks of being a homeowner is that you can decorate your house in any way your heart desires. If you are a Sanrio fan, for example, you can have your own Hello Kitty BTO. This BTS ARMY had the same idea when she decided to transform her HDB flat with details inspired by her favourite band.

With the help of interior design firm, Free Space Intent, her 4-room residence along Kim Tian Road in Tiong Bahru now looks like it could be a part of BTS’ Dynamite music video.

Stepping into the flat, you will be greeted by soft shades of blue and pink, accompanied by pops of yellow. The blue couch has a velvet texture, a popular trend from the ’70s. There is also a built-in seat on the side, which looks perfect for curling up with a good book.

The colourful stripes on the feature wall remind us of this scene from the Dynamite MV, where the 7 members dance in front of a colourful backdrop.

While the colours are brighter in the video, the colours on the wall are pastel instead to match the rest of the houseand the boys’ outfits.

The stripes theme continues in the dining area, which has a blue striped ceiling to make the area pop, as well as walls of contrasting colours. The velvet details also appear again, this time on the cover of the chairs as well as the stools in front of the kitchen island.

The candy-coloured dining chairs complement the pastel tones seen throughout the home. They might also be a nod to the colourful letters on the side of the ice cream truck during Taehyung’s solo scene.

As a proud member of the BTS ARMY, this fan has collected more than a handful of BTS and BT21 merchandise. She displays them all on the shelves in the dining room to show her love for the Korean group.

A few steps away from the dining area lies the kitchen. Separating the two rooms is a pastel pink and white island with a terrazzo pattern on the bottom. The pastel pink shade continues on the cabinets below the sink and the dish rack above.

The oven and stove sit along the same wall as the BTS display. The cabinets below are in a turquoise colour that goes well with the pink tones. The print on the overhead cabinets is a combination of all the colours, tying in perfectly with its surroundings.

The turquoise shade on the kitchen cabinets might be darker, but we’re still getting flashbacks of the exterior of the doughnut shop the boys visit in the music video.

The pastel pattern from the kitchen makes another appearance on the wardrobe doors in the bedrooms. The room is a colourful yet cosy explosion of prints and colours, with one side of the room covered with a rainbow polka dotted wallpaper.

The bathrooms would be incomplete without the same pink, blue and yellow shades. To add to the pink and yellow sinks and the blue walls, there are also feature walls in both washrooms. One sees a hexagon pattern comprising of different shades of blue, while the other has a dotted pattern on white tiles that ties back to the wallpaper in the bedroom. Even the pipe has been painted pastel yellow to fit in with the decor, adding a fun touch a usually ignored item.

This BTS HDB Flat Will Make You Feel Like You’re In The Dynamite Music Video

Having a HDB flat inspired by BTS is like having a permanent BTS pop-up right from the comfort of your own home. If you are a fan of BTS and are inspired by this unique design, but you don’t like pastel colours, you can base your home on other music videos like Blood, Sweat & Tears or IDOL.
