Off-White x Nike Collaboration
If you are a fan of fashion label Off-White and sportswear brand Nike, you might want to log onto Nike Singapore’s online store this Thursday, 14 November 2019, at 10am. You will be able to purchase 3 designs from the ‘Athlete in Progress’ range, which is “designed to inspire progress both on and off the pitch.”
Off-White’s Virgil Abloh revealed that he was inspired by the “aesthetic and style of track and field athletes” when designing his Off-White SS19 runway collection.
In the show, he teased the Nike shoes as footwear to accompany clothing in white, khaki, pale blue, black and neon-yellow snakeskin prints.
Nike Singapore will be releasing 3 colourways based on the Nike Vapor Street design, which fuses modern athletic elements and neon colours. The exact designs seem to differ slightly from those that debuted at the SS19 fashion showcase.
The most eye-catching design is a combination of electric blue, a highlighter yellow Nike swoosh and fuschia pink. It is topped off with bright green laces.
A muted yellow design has white soles, a blue tongue and is topped off with bright orange laces and has its spikes laced with orange highlights.
If you love a pair of black shoes, there is a black pair with highlighter pink spikes.
All the shoes are stamped with the signature Off-White font, Helvetica, describing its edition. They will retail for $239 a pair.
However if you are looking for a pair with “Prototype” written on them as you saw in the Off-White SS19 show, they were only scribbled on by Abloh for the show itself.
You’ll have to use your own marker.
