Thomas Finney Underwear Bag

From Balenciaga’s shoelace earrings to Thom Browne’s pillow bag, no one knows which everyday object will become the next fashion trend. After designer Thomas Finney made news recently with his unique and quirky brief-shaped bag, it looks like underwear is a strong contender. Practical or crossing the line? You decide.

The design

It is easy to make a fashion statement with Thomas Finney’s brief bag since it has a fully brown look and made of 100% Italian leather.

At first glance, the bag looks pretty normal with its brown colourway. But after a closer look, you can notice details of the hand-stitched linings that form the shape of a standard brief, such as an elastic waistband with the Thomas Finney logo in gold.

The fun part about the bag is that you get to pull a prank on your friends by reaching into your “underwear” when they ask for tissues or eyedrops. Jokes aside, rest assured your belongings will be kept secured as the bag has a zipper closure. Plus, it is also stitched tightly at the openings where legs go through.

That’s not all ‒ the bag features an adjustable strap with brass button fastenings that allows you to play with lengths to create different looks.

As the bag is available in two sizes, the Mini Brief Bag retails at USD$750 (~S$1,064), and the Brief Bag retails at USD$950 (~S$1,348).

No worries if the aforementioned bags are a lil’ overwhelming for your liking as you can go for their Brief Card Case instead.

The card case comes in a similar shape, but instead of sealing up the “leg holes”, the design allows you to insert your cards and cash for a perfect fit.

The Brief Card Case retails at USD$149 (~S$211).

This Underwear-Shaped Bag Is Nothing Like Your Everyday Undergarment

As quirky as the design of Thomas Finney’s underwear-shaped bag is, we’re not so sure if it is something that will appeal to the public in general. But, if you’re digging its novelty factor, head over to Thomas Finney’s official website for more information.
