Pride Month Singapore 2022
When it comes to celebrating Pride Month in Singapore, not many of us know of activities to enjoy — other than attending the annual Pink Dot celebration at Hong Lim Park. But beyond wearing pink tees to channel our inner Plastic and watching the performances, it turns out that the month is actually packed full with fun-filled activities to celebrate love.
From watching live drag shows to learning about kink play, we’ve compiled a list of things you can do to fully embrace the joy of Pride Month.
1. Live drag show — RIOT!
If you’ve never experienced watching a drag show before, now’s the best time to check that off your bucket list. RIOT! will be hosting a series of drag shows every Monday throughout Pride Month titled “A Final Commotion”.
FYI, The Commotion series of drag shows were the only regular live drag shows during the pandemic. This is your last chance to catch their performance, as the series is coming to an end in June.

Named Queer Star and Gender Bender, the cocktails are available at $15 each, packed with sweet and fruity flavours. Don’t miss out on the GudSht Pride Picnic Packs too, inclusive of snacks, drinks and sheet masks — perfect to take with you to Pink Dot.
Fun fact: 10% of all proceeds of GudSht’s Pride Month cocktails will be donated to Oogachaga, a community-based LGBTQ+ organisation in Singapore.
3. Pasar Pink x Sunday Social pop-up — Pink Fest
As Pink Fest’s signature event, the Pasar Pink x Sunday Social pop-up is not one to be missed. Featuring over 30 local brands, artisans and food vendors, this inclusive social market is the best way you can #SupportLocal while showing your love for the LGBTQIA+ community.
If you’re looking to fill your bellies with good food, a food truck by The Good Burger will also be making its way to the pop-up.
4. Pink Fest pole dance trial — Breathe Dance Co.
Pole dancing may seem like an intimidating sport at first glance, but there’s no shame in giving it a shot. For those who are curious to try out the sport, Breathe Dance Co. is offering two exclusive trial classes as part of their annual Pink Dot celebrations.
No prerequisites are required and the trial is open to absolute beginners, so feel free to grab your BFFs for a spinning good time.

5. LGBTQ+ property workshop — Prident
Unlike straight couples who can easily opt for a BTO, housing continues to be a big issue for LGBTQIA+ couples in Singapore. To counter these insecurities, Prident is hosting an online Zoom workshop to educate queer folks on home ownership and planning with real life case studies.
Head over to Pink Fest’s website to discover more useful workshops by Prident targeted for the LGBTQIA+ community, such as investments and work policies.

All genders are welcomed and entry is free. The best part? Free shots for all winners. Perhaps this is enough motivation to get you studying more about queer history.
11. Rainbow Family Exhibition — Rainbow Families Project
We’re used to the idea of nuclear families in Singapore, but the Rainbow Family Exhibition wants to go beyond that by normalising queer families too. Comprising of light installations that take the form of a deconstructed closet, participants can snap photos at the exhibition and check out the Intermission Bar, a safe space for queer events.

Here, you can mingle with other eligible queer women through common interests, conversations and games. Free-flow satay soiree is also included, with vegetarian options available.
Not to worry — there will also be a vetting process to ensure that all participants are legitimate, so there’s no risk of getting catfished here.
13. Rainbow Hustle — Hustle Dance Community Singapore
Fun fact: The Hustle is a social partner dance that grew popular during the Disco era in the 1970s, but it’s still widely popular today due to the thrill of it. 16. Intro to kinks workshop — Kinky Minky Club
Let’s admit it — Singapore is a pretty conservative country, especially when it comes to the topic of sex. Kinky Minky Club is here to ensure that there’s no shame when it comes to quelling our sex-related curiousity, especially when it comes to learning more about kinks. Their intro to kinks workshop is open to all genders, expanding your knowledge on kink play, pleasure intimacy, consent and safety.
